Customer Demands for MGO Boards Coating
A renowned building materials manufacturer based in Moscow, Russia, has long supplied premium construction materials to local engineering projects. Faced with evolving customer requirements, the company’s proprietor and technical team encountered technical bottlenecks and reached out to Senlian for tailored solutions. Following in-depth on-site consultations, we gained full insight into their core demands:
High labor costs: Given Russia’s high labor costs, each additional worker significantly increases costs; therefore, they needed to achieve maximum output with minimal manpower.
Space constraints: Due to limited space in their new factory, they couldn’t produce MGO boards with the most complete process flow and equipment layout.
High-quality requirements for MGO board coating: Because MGO boards have very loose pores and inconsistent raw material thickness and density, the requirements for primer sealing are high. They wanted equipment that could achieve the best results and avoid after-sales problems caused by coating defects.
Expected gradually increasing order volume: As a premium local brand, the launch of this product would bring more orders; therefore, the coating line design needed to meet the increasing capacity demands.
Environmental pressure regarding VOC emissions: High-emission equipment and coatings could not be used because they did not comply with Russian environmental regulations.
Senlian Automatic Coating Solution for MGO Boards
Based on the client’s specific needs, we designed a 43-meter-long SENLIAN fully automatic roller coating line for MGO boards used in interior wall decoration. This line boasts the following features:

Significantly reduced labor costs: Utilizing a fully automatic coating process, the equipment automatically handles the entire process of board loading and unloading and coating, requiring no manual intervention. Only 1-2 ordinary workers are needed for on-line inspection.
Scientific and rational layout: Employing an automatic parallel translation conveyor, it effectively utilizes lateral space even when factory length is limited, but width is sufficient, while maintaining ample material storage areas, equipment operating space, and maintenance access, ensuring smoother and more efficient production.
High-quality coating: Employing superior surface treatment technology combined with soft-touch nano-excimer topcoat technology, it not only fully fills and seals the pores on the MGO surface but also creates a delicate, smooth, baby-skin-like topcoat coating, significantly enhancing the product’s premium value.
High efficiency and stable production: At a production speed of 8-12m/min, 3,500-5,200sqm of MGO decorative panels can be produced every 8 hours, effectively meeting the ever-increasing capacity demand. If orders continue to increase, capacity can be further increased by extending production hours or seamlessly integrating modular equipment.
Environmentally compliant: The roller coating line employs highly efficient and precise paint transfer technology without paint mist evaporation. Combined with environmentally friendly, constantly recycled UV paint, it complies with local environmental policies.
